A grey wolf all alone living in the desert. He hasn't seen another face in days but he was ok with it, he was used to it by now. All his children went on and started there own lives but never came back to visit. The old wolf doesn't even know if they are alive unlike his two deceased mates. His first died after giving birth and his second succumbed to the harsh environment. But he knew he wasn't completely alone, there was a pack to to far away. The old wolf had seen some younger ones running around here and there and was slightly tempted to meet them as his loneliness was starting to get to him. He silently hoped he'd see another face soon.

Cascade trotted around the area sniffing at land marks or the plants that hurt him when he touched them. It hadn't crossed his mind to be looking for other wolves while he was outside the main territory. He sniffed the air spreading his wings open to his sides then closing them quickly to cool himself off as he kept sniffing around.

Stryde was basking in the sun when he'd seen a strange figure in the distance. It seemed to be a winged wolf. He stared at it for a while then slapped himself"The sun is starting to get to me." He turns away and goes into his shady resting place.

Cascade caught onto a familiar sent of a lone wolf. He tracked the sent al the way to a shady area. He found a wolf their, alone. "Hello!" Cascade called out trying not to scare the wolf.

Stryde looked over at the wolf he had seen and to his surprise he actually did have wings. He groaned as he got up and shook off the sand "Hey youngster, uhh nice wings you got there."

"Of course!" Cascade said jumping and flapping his wings a little to bring him in the air then landing again. "I'll bring ou to the territory then introduce you to Mai, she's the alpha." Cascade said forgetting to mention the alpha before.

Mai wandered around the borders of her territory, the land stretched in each direction in an endless display of dry, hard-packed soil. Cacti dotted the scene and rocks lay still on the ground; much like the rocks the air was as still as could be, and the sky as cloudless as ever, you could stop time itself and not notice a difference. She panted as the hot sun burned into her fur. She loved her lands, despite how hard they were to survive in. She stopped to look around the sun above glaring around her, a scent drifted her way. Stryde was laying under his rocky shelter to take refuge from the hot sun. He'd has been living here awhile with no disturbances despite being so close to a wolf pack. He has seen them occasionally running around and what not. He starts to drift off into a slumber and not because of his old age.
