The Moon's Arc

That was a surprise and a shiver of something sparked down her side as she turns around to face him with a look of surprise after he sidesteps her. Her own eyes then narrow as she looks at him and her ears stand forward as she stares him down.

MoonSong does not try to let him walk off, grabbing hold of his tail.

Seeing as he won't be going anywhere, she let go of his tail. She softly touches her nose to his thigh, a sign of comfort and forgiveness from MoonSong. She does not approach him further, however, as she is distracted by the risen moon. Half moon. The stars twinkled from the dark sky, and she lets Ursus have some alone time. She backs up, sitting back down where she was originally laying, enhanced by the lunar object. She glanced toward Ursus, whose head hung low.

MoonSong returns her gaze to the sister moon. "Comfort my friend, dear mother?" she pleas her thought. They sit in silence for moments, and she is about to plea again when the sky seemed to light up in greens, yellows, pinks, and blues. She hops to her paws and an amazed gasp, "The Night Rainbow!!"

She thanks the silver moon, not knowing it was merely a very lucky coincidence. She dances under the light, spinning, and tail wagging as she hops back to Ursus, previous mood complete forgotten.

"Ursus look! The Moon Chaser heard me! He sent the Night Rainbows! I asked to cheer you up and he sent the Rainbow!!" she bounces like a puppy

Meanwhile, across the land, covered in a shroud of darkness cast by a dead tree, blue eyes look to the night sky. In the distance, he sees the lights of the aurora traveling. The owner of the blue eyes steps out of the shadow to get a better look, revealing his red and nearly black striped coat. He looks like a puppy staring at snowfall for the first time until he wickedly grins. The moonlight glints off his fangs that reach past his jaw. They would almost rival those of Ursus'. His head lowers, and the shadows bend at his will. Stretching out and consuming him until only the blue glow of his eyes were visible until they too vanished in the darkness.

"Mother and Father are up there!" she says happily to both Fennex and Ursus. The Night Rainbow is when the stars come down to play, and the star wolves come to visit!" she vaguely explains.

Her head turns to face Ursus as she explains with a smile, "With every Night Rainbow, the Star Wolves come down to see the land and their loved ones! They cannot interact, as they have to stay in the path!" She motions with her nose the direction the lights are moving. "They may be saying things to us, guiding us or even a hint as to how to deal with what is ails us. We wont know for sure, it's just something you can feel in your heart."

"I've had dreams of these enormous creatures flying through the Rainbow. Light beings that guide the path. I wish I could see it."

She is silent as she listens. It was a surprisingly quiet night. She is able to hear the noise of the Aurora. "My family does not sing to me this night." She says while not breaking eye contact with the colorful lights. "Perhaps they have already danced with me and had to move on."

There was no sadness in her voice. It was that of content.
