The Moon's Arc

Fennex's reaction causes a snort and eye rolled response from Ursus "Awwww.... Did you eat too many cupcakes? You'll be fine, Fennex. It's not much extra walking."

"Mmhhmmm~ Right. Little puppy." Ursus shudders as he recalls the overly sweet and not satisfying nature of the dessert. "I'll take real sustenance any day."

Ursus gasps as if hurt "Ouch! Woe is me! Such a hurtful blow I have been dealt. Call off the mission everyone! This is too much. Here is my grave, I collapse here to never hate another cup cake for all eternity."

Moonsong is able to slow down enough to walk beside Sirhaan. Her coat brushing hers and acting as a guide as she began explaining what is going on. Where they are headed, How they might encounter more ice wolves and lycans, how she talked to a fastcat (lynx) and about the night rainbow, and though slightly hesitant at first, she tells her what she hasn't told the others. "It's my brother. Darius. He is who we are up against." she whispers. "I plan on killing him alone. There's a wolf hole near the area he is hiding. I will lead him there and hope he falls for it." she keeps it vague hiding that she might end up perishing along with her brother.

She shakes her head. "No. It's...something. I suspect he is here to take me back. Months before I left, we had a fight. It split up the pack. He wanted to go back to our homeland and start a war to take it back by force. I was against it. Stay here and live happily." They pass where they had been sleeping. " There was something that like...possessed him. and he attacked me. He snapped out of it after the first draw of blood and wouldn't look me in the eye for the next month. " she tells the story to Sirhaan as her raven crows above them and flies off. "He may have been corrupted...or he is here to take me back by force. We will have to see."

"Then let's make it a reality where we win." Moonsong says with much confident as she leads her friends to war. She looks over her shoulder and snorts at Fennex's joke. She looks forward with a spark of something in her eyes. We WILL win. Without the cost of your lives. She promises to herself.

The white wolf continues to lead at a steady pace, mostly on autopilot as her head swarmed with harsh whispers. She felt a tug in her body that lead them to their destination. She stood at the top of a mound and stared ahead at the dark shrouded forest in the far distance. They were safe where they rested now as the sun quickly sank from the sky. The waning crescent in the night sky had an unease to it. She comes down from the mound and trots to where the others are gathered.


"Sirhaan, can you hear thoughts at this distance?" she asks as she comes closer.

MoonSong frowns visibly as her ears fall. "...I see." She had honestly hoped it wouldn't come to this. No matter. This is what needs to be done. She steels herself as she looks at her pack. "Okay first things first, Darius, my brother, specializes in shadows. He can bend them to take shape should he want. Because of this, I want to lure him out of the forest. I'm assuming there are two guarding Ice Wolves with him. They won't have magic, but more likely than not they will be armed with blades like this one." she explains and angles her leg to show the sheathed dagger.
