For now there aren't enough of us and patrolling has done fine thus far. After all, none of you have been attacked whislt sleeping under my watch now have you? When we are larger we will also have roaming war bands more than just light patrols. It keeps ALL predators away and ensures we get as much food as we need.

I suppose the Glacier Lake is what we should see next. There are islands on the outskirt of it, and in the dead of winter it's surface freezes over. Bears like the area so it can be a bit dangerous.

Aelin nods with a chuckle. “The bears at my home were mean as snakes. One time, my friend Aranya and were playing with a cub as pups, and then the cubs mom came. It didn’t end very well for us.” She laughs happily at the memory, enjoying the easiness of the action
