Vex pants and skids to a stop. He couldn't stand running anymore. Not with the heat burning down on his back. But he had to still keep going. He heard rumors of a land of better hunting, plants, water, and even more ruins possibly. He was hoping for more ruins of the anicent ruins. He wasn't that optomistic though..

Ezra had been following a pack of wolves that came this way into the desert but seemed to have lost them. He shakes his fur, dislodging the sand that clinged to it. He smells the air, trying to find any trace of the others when his eyes catch something moving in the distance to his left. What is that? Another wolf? Curious, he moves to investigate, trotting after the tired form.

Vex's ears twitched picking up on the sound of another wolf. He quickly tried to find them, not sure if they are friend or foe.

Ezra notices the canine pause and look around. Not having anything to hide he continues trotting up to the canine creature with a friendly, "greetings."
Slightly looking a bit more left so he can see the red wolf better.

Vex stepped back. He stared at the other wolf for a couple of seconds. "U-uh... greetings also..???"
(Vex is a maned wolf btw. Not a red wolf.)

( i meant red in color XD Ez is blind in his right eye)
Ezrah tilts his head at this one. "You alright?" he awkwardly starts. while he himself wasn't that bothered by the heat, it was obvious the darker coat was heating up the male quicker. He quickly shakes his fur, more sand falling out. it's like it never ends. "Do you mind if we stick together? Buddy system an' all that."

Mai lays half asleep on a nearby hilltop, taking a break after the hours of searching for herbs. Her fur and scent blending seamlessly in the reddish rock below her.

Cascade felt the ground under his paws return as he landed without stopping he padded on into the desert. He lifted his wings a little over his back and head to shield himself from the sun. He came upon two wolves who seemed to be talking and as he came closer he put his wings out and raced toward them quickly taking to the air hopefully leaving the two possible threats to do their own thing.

He nods his hdead. "Good. Good." And starts to walk in the direction Vex had been traveling before Ezrah had interrupted him. He's head spins left as he thought he heard something, but nothing was there. He shrugs. Probably a bird. "Perhaps we will find a native to these lands that can direct us to water."

Cascade sniffed at a plant that had strange, needle like points on them. he touched on with his paw and instantly regretted it. he keep walking but didn't put his paw on the ground trying not to push the needles into his paw more. He put his wings over his back as a sun shield once again. He looked at the sky and smiled. 'I love it here!' he thought thinking of all the free space and how he could fly more freely without trees or rain interfering.

Walking slowly into the lands, Chaos eyed the prints left by other canines. He followed them hoping to find a permanent home for him and Opal, who was now asleep on his back. He smelled the air as he continued on.
