Sirhaan stood on one end of the small island.
She stared deeply into the eyes of the challenger.
Neomari, the beta female.
Artemis' sister, his beloved sister.
She could see him out of the corner of her eye.
He was shouting at her, begging them to stop the fight.
She wanted to desperately,
but how could she choose?
Her love, or his sister?
It was already a lose-lose situation.
She didn't show that she wanted the fight to end.
Neither did Neomari.
Felan stepped between them.
"Everything goes, whoever surrenders first, or dies first will be demoted. You know the drill."
He said before letting out a deep howl.
Neomari immediately sprinted towards Sirhaan, growling.
Right before she could reach her, Sirhaan dived to her side and jumped on her back.
She sank her teeth deep into the neck of her attacker.
Neomari let out a cry before grabbing Sirhaan's leg and pulling her down.
She scratched any flesh she could reach, leaving to deep gashes on Sirhaan's muzzle and eye.
Sirhaan yelped and dove towards her, grabbing the underside of her neck.
She didn't hear the cries of Neomari as she ripped open the tissue.
Blood gushed out as Neomari fell to the ground, choking, gasping for breath.
Sirhaan realized what she had done.
She hadn't had any mercy for the poor wolf.
Now she could clearly hear Artemis over the silent crowd.
"MURDERER, YOU KILLED HER. YOU'LL PAY. YOU'LL PAY!"
He yelled before sobbing.
Felan came back, he shook his head,
"Sirhaan is the victor of the challenge. Everyone Is excused back to their duties."
The tension did not fall as everyone left.
Artemis stood with the deadliest glare on his face before taking his leave,
Sirhaan stood motionless before uttering,
