Hey guys!
So this is just a little thread to fill in kinda what happened when aelin left so suddenly to go on her little adventure.
It's probably just gonna be a straightforward telling of events and most likely slow paced but if anyone really wanted to hop in in some form or another I guess they could. As long as they could figure out a logical(ish) way to do so.

By the time she made it back to the lake by the dens, Aelin was running. She wasn’t really 100% sure where the urge came from, but she knew she needed to go. Once she made it to the lake’s edge, the small fae concentrated on where she wanted to go in her mind. It worked like a charm and, almost immediately, she was on the outskirts of her old pack lands.
She cautiously glanced around before padding forward, deeper into the place she once called home. As she was heading down the old winding path between the many fir trees, she couldn’t help but to recall the events that caused her to leave such a wonderful place. Not that I’m not happy where I ended up, she quickly amends to herself.
The strong scent of pine and wolf hitting her nose causes her to pause on her trek, standing stock still as she gives the air another sniff. The scent she discovered was familiar and it immediately caused a small smile to tug at her lips. “Hello Olly.” she says quietly as she turns around, finding the familiar solid white male standing a short distance away from her.
Her old friend eyed her cautiously for a moment, not trusting his eyes or the fact that the female that was practically a little sister to him was alive. “S-Swifty?” the wolf asked, choosing to use her old nickname to be sure it was really her he was seeing.
Aelin smiled, tail wagging softly as she replied, “Yeah Olly it’s me.” She then takes another look around before continuing, “So.. why are you the only one on patrol..?” she asked, finding the notion foreign.
The wolf, Oliver, gave a grimace before answering the she-wolf, “Well, after you…” he seems to struggle for the right words to use to describe the situation. “left, Exodus wasn’t happy. He… hurt a lot of wolves. Several escaped and fled the area but… many didn’t make it out.” He paused, seeming to collect his thoughts before continuing. “I would’ve left too if… well i just didn’t have the heart to leave. Not when we’ve all been through so much here. And Kij..” He drifts off, lowering his ears at the thought of his deceased brother.
Aelin gives a soft nod, not really wishing to talk about Kijian right now in fear of losing her nerve. “And what, you’re the only one they have to be out here patrolling?” She inquires with a questioning look. With an uncharacteristic solemn look, Oliver nods, affirming Aelin’s suspicion of just how bad things have gotten in their old home.
Aelin sighs before continuing her questions. “What about Nero? Ayla? Maven? Or little Falyn?” she asks softly, eyes suddenly interested in studying the ground.
“I’m sorry Swifty I… a lot has changed…” Oliver speaks softly as well, Lowering his snowy ears.
Aelin winces slightly at his words before continuing, “Alright Olly, let’s go then.” She says as she begins to pad off toward the interior of the pack lands.
Oliver’s eyes widen as she walks off before he pads after her, knowing she couldn’t hear him from behind, coming up in front of her, walking backwards, to try and talk sense into her. “Woah woah slow down crazy, you’re a tough cookie but not that tough! I can’t let you go in there, you know you may not get out this time.” Oliver grimaces remembering the state she escaped in last time. “I don’t want that to happen Swifty. I promised Kij i”d take care of you. Please just, go back to where you’ve been. I’m sure you’re better off there.” he pleads with his old friend, trying to make her see reason. Well, before he tripped over root and fell on his ass.
“Relax Olly, I can handle myself. Besides, you’ve got my back, right?” she asks with a chuckle, continuing on her way.
Oliver gives a huff as he hops to his feet, “Ah screw it.” he muttered, trudging after the firey, albeit probably stupid, female into what most likely would be the road that’d lead them both to a slow and painful death. Oh well.

A short while later, Aelin and Oliver arrived at his small den located on the farthest alcove of the pack's semi circle of dens. The whole walk there, Aelin was having trouble grasping the fact that no one had stopped them on their little journey. Once she finally got the idea to ask Olly, he explained that Exodus had gone south with a group of his best hunters in search of the elk herd that had recently mysteriously gone missing. Upon learning this new information, Aelin noticed that Olly did look very thin. Too thin. This observation worried her for the remainder of their walk, leaving Aelin determined to formulate a plan.
