Ryka , as you wander through frost bitten peaks and valley's, it becomes clear that this winter wonderland is forever and always on the brink of taking life should one become too complacent. As you venture into these lands, thunder roars over head in unison with your stomach calling to you. Will you persist, or parish?

Keeping my posture high I look around, shaking and hungry. The steep peaks seem to be the only option for shelter. I push forward frost blinding my eyes and my silver fur covered in freezing snow. My paws quickening their pace not wanting to give out just yet. Thunder crackles and roars showing to be as persistent as I. Determined, my mind becomes clear and I rush to the peaks seeing a small opening of a cave. The cave eerie and unwelcoming will have to do for now.

In the interests of protecting their food supply, Ursus pushes past his territory's boundaries in search of a bear he's found signs of taking prey from his land. As the thunder erupts from above, Ursus casts his gaze skyward, scrutinizing the formations of the storm. With a faint smile he thinks to himself at how normal the weather pattern is this time, before heading onwards into an ideal area for a bear to bed down into, specifically a area heavy in karst topography, with its limestone and cave structures that are so very common.

Ryka lifts her head ever so slightly up to the dim sky. The Storm eased and the formation looked different. Another wolf or mythical being must be around she thought as the silver pelted wolf gets up to stretch, holding a downward dog position. The Fae starts padding out of the unwelcoming cave and begins looking for signs of anything out of the ordinary. She halts, her hackles raise when a faint aroma pasts by her jet black nose. Her soft and rather fluffy paws begin to trot toward the familiar smell of a Snowshoe Hare. A snap of a branch comes from behind her. Ryka turns quickly as a grizzly bear walks out of the tall pine tree forest. The bear huffed and growls, filling her ears with the unpleasant warning. The female backs out of the way, growling because she knew she was not that good of a fighter. The bear lumbers past her grunting, obviously irritated. Giving it a passive-aggressive nip in the butt, she bolts toward the hare's scent, not wanting for the bear to return the favor. (Edited xP)

Nose to the wind, Ursus muses "Ahhh... I have found something haven't I? A few things. Today will be interesting." As Ursus makes his way for a visible cliff side where the scents waft his way from, a faint rain settles in. Just enough to dampen sounds and to magnify the colds bite. With a huff and shake of his long coat, Ursus moves on. Uninterested and un-phased by the new weather. His large paws crunch as his massive form presses through the ice caped snow, eyes aglow in the shadow of the ever darkening skies. A total coincidence, his timing. But perhaps a bit ominous to some all the same.

Still running, she hears the hare jumping across the snowy land. Her paws plant themselves into the ground, keeping her breath at ease and her head low. Slowly she creeps up as the hare stops near a tall pine tree. Ryka crouches, ready to pounce. Suddenly, snow slides off the trees branch right above the hare. With a thud, the icy snow covered the hare, blinding it. She chuckles,"Wow how convenient it that!" while she finally grabs hold of the hare by its tiny neck showing through the snow patch. Alas, the hare stopped struggling and Ryka slumped down under the tree. As she eats her irises slowly dim and become clouded. The fae sighs feeling loneliness slowly creep up and surround her, almost suffocating her. A frost bitten gust of wind snapped her out of mood. The scents woven into the wind fills her nostrils, along with a familiar scent. Her mind immediately goes from calm to alert. Another wolf is nearby.
