Kreig cringes and begins to whistle as he inches away from the ladder as if he has nothing to do with it or any clue what is transpiring in the moment.

Irina gives kreig a look before turning her attention to the task at hand. "Step where I step, and we should be fine." She tells Starburst and begins the climb up the fire escape. There were parts where the step was missing, and there was one that fell away the moment she placed her paw on it, but they made it to the top floor without dying! Irina breathes a sigh of relief as she hops in and waits for Starburst. The entire thing groaning and shaking again as it will collapse at any given moment.

When the bits of the construct fall out from under Irina's feet Kreig rushes forwards as if he could some how pad their fall, and sighs in relief when no one falls. Upon them being safe Kreig returns to pretending to not care.

Starburst follows very carefully, putting as little pressure down as possible until she made it to Irina.

The room was an absolute filthy disaster. rotting stuff in one corner, a crumbling floor with a huge hole in the center that drops to the room beneath it. The room reeked of piss and mold. Irina quickly ushers StarBurst to a knocked over clocktower that acted as a step to the opening in the ceiling leading to the roof.

She walks up onto it and lept through the hole on the ceiling, she stares back down waiting for Irina

Irina wastes no time running and jumping up the fallen clock and onto the roof. She gives Starburst a quick lick on her snout and walks over to where Graoi was sitting. Now that they can see him clearly, it's obvious he has been living in filth. His coat is matted and caked in unknown substances that his true colors are unknown. The dog is 7 years old if Irina can remember correctly, yet he looks as if he has lived for 50. She sits 5 feet in front of him.
"What do you want, kid?" he coughs.
"This one has been separated from her family. I was wondering if you have seen or heard of anything?"

Starburst stays fairly close to Irina, staring at the stranger in front of her.

The old dog squints his eyes as he stares judgely at Starburst. "I don't know I have seen a lot of dogs. Besides..she's like...what...2? 3? she is fine on her own already." he sneers. Irina growls at him. Graoi is unfazed as he chews an itch on his leg.
"Have you seen or heard of her family or not!"
"I don't know. They all look the same. I may have heard of a group of dogs that have been taken into the ruined cities. I may have not. Now get out of here. There's an illness spreading around here."
Irina was very unsatisfied with the dog and turns to leave, standing by the hole. "let's go Star. We can search somewhere more useful."

"what a useless waste of fur," Irina grumbles as she jumps down and heads to the window that they came from earlier. But the second she steps onto the rusty fire escape, the entire thing wails in protest. hinges pop and steps crumble and fall. Irina's heart leaped to her to her throat as she panicked to bring the rest of her body back into the window as the stairs collapse with the noise of a rocket. Her front half dangles out the window as her paws frantically push against the old wall to get herself back to safety.

Kreig dodges the falling debris and looks upwards, panicked. "Irina! Star! Are you ok?! Is there another way down?" Kreig looks frantically around and finds an old mattress and with much adrenaline he grasps it and tugs it over with all his might, as quick as his lumbering form allows for.

Irina is shaken by her almost death experience and takes a moment to recollect herself. "its okay, it's okay." she mutters to herself. After a few minutes, she walks back to the window ledge to see that Kreig had dragged over a mattress. While the thought was sweet, she doesn't think that jumping out the fourth-floor window is such a good idea. Back inside the room, she approaches the hole that was in the middle of the floor. A shiver is sent down her spine as that room made the one they stood in...well...nice. Her eyes lock on to a mangled corpse of a dog. Its skin just barely covering its bones. She does see an exit though. The door that granted entrance into the room is busted down, opening the room to the hallway. Before Starburst can see, she covers the room down there with an illusion. Making it look in similar condition to this one.
"we shall go through there," she tells her. "I don't know how stable the floor is, so walk right behind me. Don't touch anything either."

Starburst nods and follows Irina closely. She doesn't realize there is an illusion but seems quite calm for the situation.
