This will be updated as needed!
Lycans: Massive, bi-pedal wolf like creatures full of bestial strength and rage when in beast form. Their condition is contagious via contact with their bodily fluids, though it typically is rare one turns. You are more likely to develop a fever that lasts a few days. Both canines and the bi-pedal races of the world can contract the disease. They can not use magic in or out of their beast form. Warg's are their only natural competition.
Dragon: Ageless beings that naturally occur in the form of a large winged lizard. These creatures have magics far beyond what most can comprehend and can change their form at will, being able to even take on the form of a human should they choose. Most are content to live in solitude, not disturbing anything but as with all things some are evil and must be rooted out and destroyed when young for the damages they sow when adults is beyond staggering and can cause entire empire to collapse.
Drake: Giant dragon like lizard without wings. They are intelligent but some are cruel, all are calculating and have powerful magics at their disposal. Approach with caution if you must interact with one. These beings can be found in any biome.
Worms: Not just the little dirt eating poop tubes in the ground folks! It can also refer to massive slithering monstrosities that burrow and make whole cave systems. They are absolutely carnivorous and are blind.
Serpents/Basilisks: There are giant venomous snakes in this world whom also spit their hyper concentrated stomach acid. In this "Family" there is also Basilisks whom can also petrify and sometimes have legs.
Sentient Slime: Thought to be the byproduct of magical cal experimentation gone wrong, a variety of these nasties can be found throughout the world. The things they always have in common no matter where found are an insatiable hunger and the capacity to digest almost anything though they are carnivores and will not elect to consume flora of any form.
Elemental's/Golem's: Elementals are magical beings born of a specific element. There is no one specific way these are formed and are not too common on this plane of existence. Golems are essentially artificial Elementals which are made to be controlled. No one knows the origins for sure but ancient Elven ruins hint that they were made for a war against an entity that was highly contagious and it is theorized they were amde to oppose the Plague Barer. Some Golems are still made today but they are not too common. You would be more likely to find one of old running rampant in a ruin than to find a newly made one as the magics and sciences required are almost forgotten.
Dire Beasts: A vague term applied to any creature that bares resemblance to a naturally occurring animal but is far more than its ordinary counter part and can even be applied to a chimera of any sort. This can occur via the creature in question having hailed from a parallel place, being corrupted with magics, or can even be an established species such as winged wolves. Dire wolves here are more or less extinct and are not playable.
Warg: A rare, wolf-like creature that is roughly the size of a Kodiak Bear. Typically in cold climates and where meat is in abundance though can be found in plains and meadows. They were once related to grey-wolves but were drastically altered via magics. No one is sure whom is responsible as some were recorded to having been made, while others are suspected to be a product of nature, either way the results are terrifying. Their features range from simply a large wolf to being armed with large, razor sharp tusks and paws more akin to a bear. They are a fierce foe implementing their very hardy and capable physical form and potentially powerful magics. It is worth noting too that some may bare horns or other boney protrusions, even spines and spikes. Wargs are a natural enemy to Lycans.
Lurkers: A Lurker starts out as a pitch black sentient tar pile that can move. Much like a Sentient Slime. However, these beings are far worse and were created by the Plague Barer. What makes these beings so foul is they will draw life forms in with mocked voices, fake merry camp fires and screams of distress. They then consume the flesh and organs and use their bones to give them a more stable form. Lurkers can be found in most environments, however they detest the cold as it is their weakness.
Unicorn: An equine-esque life form with a dark, curled lance like horn protruding from the brow plate. Despite what one may think, these creatures are in fact carnivorous and wield their horn, hooves and shark-like teeth with deadly efficiency. All Unicorns are by their very nature magical but the good news is they are rare in our plane of existence. Instead, they hail from the same realm the Elves came from and are therefore [RARE].
