A biting wind gusts through the mountains, laced with freezing rain as lighting and thunder erupt over head. What could possibly be found here for Fennex\Stryde? Shelter, a home? Or perhaps a frozen grave. |

Fennex Looks around and shivers " its so cold here". He wanders across the frigid snow try to find a nice place to
get warm

Ursus is tracking a wounded Unicorn as he comes across a different, fresh set of tracks. A wolfs tracks. After examining the blood trail he determines that the Unicorn will bleed out and die soon judging from the dark clumps of coagulated blood that have been coughed up into the snow. With a nod of acceptance he heads off after the new trail.

Fennex comes across a small opening in a set of rocks. He looks around for a
moment a goes in hoping to warm up a bit only to be chased out by bats. He sits in the snow wishing his winter coat was grown and decides to keep walking.

After tracking several more minuets, Ursus notices that the front end of the prints still have a bit of powered snow pushed up from the paws exiting the snow and makes a note that the wolf must be near. He sets his nose to the wind as he peers around for more signs. It is at this time he recalls a small hiding place was not to far from here, nestled among some stones. At this he picks up his pace.

What seemed like an eternity Fennex comes across a frozen creek and thankfully it wasn't completely frozen. As he drinks he thinks that maybe leaving home to explore the open world wasn't such a good idea but this s what he wanted. After finishing begins to look around "I wonder if there's any food around" he says to himself. He begins to go deeper into the icy land unknown to him he was being followed.

The large paws of Ursus have him practically gliding across the snow in pursuit. Once he sees the other wolf he slows himself, and holds himself tall and proud as he barks once to gather the outsiders attention before stating "Traveler, I bid you welcome to my lands. I hope you've no ill intent for I carry none, though I will not hesitate to put one down if need be. What is it you come here seeking?" He states in a calm, bold, booming voice full of gravel.

Fennex turns around to look at the strange wolf a little startled not knowing
where he came from and says "who are you, where did you come from I didn't here you behind me" and backs away afraid

Ursus sits down in the snow and smiles softly now that he knows this one likely isn't here to cause problems. "I was out tracking a creature that I dealt a mortal wound to after it came into these lands with hostile intent. In other words attacked me on sight. Then I saw your tracks and elected to follow them instead. As for why you didn't hear me..." Ursus shrugs before continuing "Despite my appearance I can tread softly, I'm used to snow too so it makes sense. You may call me Ursus by the way."

He thinks for a second and says " I don't know really. I kinda just left home and wanted to see what was out here, I really didn't put much thought into it" shamefully hanging his head. "I don't even know if it was a good idea to do this."

You are alive so it can’t be too bad of a choice. Do you intend to keep roaming? No matter what you decide you’re welcome to stay here for a while.”

Ursus shrugs “Didn’t day I trusted you yet did I? Easier to keep an eye on some one when they are near. And in return you have a safe place to stay outside of the elements, and company which is probably not something you’ve had much of lately.”
