Starburst, doing her usual exploring, finds the scent of her friend Kreig and follows it, once it becomes strong enough she pokes her head around the building to see him and another dog. She watches silently as they talk, keeping her ears perked.

Azure bristles slightly at his words, and at his friend she noticed joining them, "Well I can take care of us." she says, accidently letting the 'us' slip, speaking of her and her pup. She gives him a curt nod, feeling slightly cornered by the two, and pads off in the direction of her little den. However, before turning out of the alleyway, Azure glances back at the male, "And I'm no one's prey." she says before disappearing around the corner.

Kreig's head sweeps over and sees Starburst as Azure beings to leave. "Us?" He mumbles to himself as he thinks. "Hey Starburst have you ever seen her before? Think she's ok? I'm guessing you were who I heard coming up. I.... Might have scared her a bit because I thought you were something else... Oops. I'm guessing it would be bad for me to follow her, but you're just an adorable puppy in a sweater. Think you could follow her a short ways, see if shes ok? I'll stick back a ways in case something goes bad, or if danger shows up. Speaking of which I can't help but wonder where Irina is. Oh well."

She pulls the rest of her body around the corner and watches the other dog leave. She shrugs before looking at him and then back to where she went a few times. Starburst raises an eyebrow and looks at him confused for a moment before slowly following the stranger, being very careful of them.

A few short moments later, Azure reaches her little den. It wasn't much, just a large cardboard box squeezed between the corner of the alley and a large dumpster, the entrance covered by tattered old blankets. The female nudges the blankets aside, greeting her squirming pup with a comforting lick.

Starburst’s eyes widen at the pup, she stares curiously as she gently nudges the stranger with her paw as to make sure she knew Starburst was there

Kreig stays back a ways and tries to take a different route, not one that would directly force him to intercept for then it'd appear he's flanking which is not what he wants to do at all.

Azure goes into defense mode right away, turning in the blink of an eye and fixing the intruder with a warning growl. "Careful..." she warns, ears flat against her head, teeth bared and hackles raised, hiding her pup from farther view.

Starburst takes a couple steps back and sits down, showing no signs of agression towards the stranger. Starburst whines lowly as she hopes the stranger won’t attack her for disturbing the two.

Azure glances between the quiet female and her pup, unsure if she was going to be a threat. However, after a moment she calms, backing a step to sit slightly in front of her pup. "So where'd your friend wonder off to? Hiding around a corner?" Azure questions with a tilt of her head, curiosity getting the best of her, not having heard the male's howl.

She tilts her head and gestures to where Kreig is, shaking her head to the question of if he’s hiding. Her eyes wander to where the pup lies as they talk

Azure directs her attention to the indicated direction of the other dog, catching his scent. Kreig was his name? while bandit tilts his head, blinking at the dog in the sweater.

Kreig waits with his heart racing as he listens for issues, realllllyyyy hoping nothing bad will happen to StarBurst. Perhaps thinking Azure wouldn't attack a pup was a bad idea. She seemed deep down like she wasn't terrible though.

Not seeing the male in question, azure turns her mismatched gaze on the pup infront of her. She than proceeds to lay down, resting her head on her paws in a non threatening manner. She had quickly gathered that this pup did not speak, not that she could’ve heard her anyways. Meanwhile, at his Mom laying down, bandit proceeded to snuggle into her side, blending in to all the soft fur.
