( Aelin) Azure , as you wander through the labyrinth of concrete, steel and nightmares you catch scent's that peak your interest. Some indicative of things like a clean water supply, other of other canines in the area. For better or for worse its hard to say. But one thing is certain. You must feed and you must have water so you may care for your little one, and that's all that matters. |

Azure moves soundlessly through the city streets, her sensitive nose overwhelmed with the assortment of smells. The small female stops at the sudden scent of meat. She quickly pads over to a nearby garbage can where the scent was coming from. She swiftly leaps onto the can beside it and nudges off the lid. Dipping her head inside she pulls out a small portion of an old half eaten steak. Azure then jumps off the can and begins to hurry back to her pup, who was patiently waiting for her return. However, her pace began to quicken as she caught the scent of another canine, and it was definitely too close for comfort.

Kreig is out once more sifting through anything he can for his next scrap of food, being the black hole he is. He groans to himself as once again all he finds in an empty container, but on the plus side hey more Vodka! Grabbing the bottle he is about to head off as the wind gusts through the buildings. His sharp nose gather's scents of new to him dogs. He quickly casts his freakish eyes around in search of any one whom may be too interested in him before heading towards the scent to warn them of the danger they are in.

Azure's eyes widen slightly at the now clear scent of a rather large male headed her way. Her survival instincts kicked in and she picked up her pace, practically sprinting through the narrow alleys. However, Azure was being guided by the scent of her pup alone, due to the fact that this was the first time she had been in this area of the city because she typically liked to stay closer to her makeshift little home. However, the need for food caused her to venture into new and unfamiliar ground.

The sounds of scampering paws reach Kreig's keen ears, causing him great concern. "Wait!!! Don't flee! You'll draw attention to yourself!!!" Kreig tried to walk as quick as he can towards the sources of the sounds, without looking a target himself.

Unknown to the male, his calls fell upon literal deaf ears as azure quickly zig zagged through the many alleyways if the city. With the other dogs scent starting to fade, azure glanced back to make sure she lost him. However, the action caused her to run head first into a garbage can, sending both herself and the can toppling over.

As a loud crash echos through the way, Kreig winces and picks up his pace. "Aghhh this can't be goood!" He tells himself as he casts his seemingly blind eyes around the area.

Azure gives a soft groan, rolling onto her side as she takes a few deep breaths, waiting for her vision to stop tilting and twisting, currently unaware of the dog coming closer.

As Kreig breaks around a corner, he spots the one running from him. A female Australian Shepard, the poor thing having struck her head just trying to flee from him. Kreig lowers his head and ears, and begins wagging his tail as he slowly approaches, vodka still in his mouth. He stops about 20 feet from her and lays down and rests his head on his paws. "Hey are you alright? It's not safe here. If you're hurt we need to get you fixed up and out of here ASAP."

When azure’s head stops aching enough for her to move it, she looks around in slight confusion before her gaze lands on a large canine a short distance away from her. Her mismatched eyes widen as she scrambled to her feet, ignoring the pounding in her head as she began to cautiously back away

Kreig wraps his tail around himself as he shakes his head no. “Please don’t run. You’ll get yourself unwanted attention. You’ve nothing to fear from me but you do from some of the other dogs her. It’s best to not be alone in places like this hun. Walking with confidence is key around here. If they think you’re scrambling or lost, well that’s how bad things happen. My name is Kreig, by the way.”

Azure blinks for a moment, processing what she read from the male’s lips. “Azure..” she replies after a bit before shrugging (pretending to be indifferent) and beginning to back away again. “And I don’t think it’s your business” she says, deflecting

"It's nice to meet you, Azure. And... You're right, it may not be. However, on the other side of this would you encourage others to not seek to aid those whom may be in danger? Is that the world you wish for? It's not what I want. I want to see everyone taking care of each other. For now, I'll settle with the occasional act of good here an there." Kreig's ears twitch as he hears clanking of tin and a couple barks in the distance. "You've got trouble coming. You'd best start moving, in a purpose filled manner this time please. You haven't much time."

Azure's ears lower slightly at this information. "Who was it you said I should be running from again?" she asks with a tilt of her head, a gnawing sensation of dread growing in the pit of her stomach. Her mind began to drift back to her pup, waiting on her to come home.
