Meeting Azure

Irina's tail begins to wag as she sees Stsrburst walk inside, but stops once she sees the stranger she has brought, and sits up. The puppy that was leaning on her side falls and gives a small whine as he stands on his hind legs and tries to climb onto her back.

"Hello, Star. Who is this?" She asks. Her eyes trial down to the puppy in her maw.

Kreig watches outside for movement and tell tale sounds of trouble, before slowly making his way inside and approaching Irina. “Hello friend, I’m sorry to bother you but while out and about I found her in a not so good environment. Not long after which we discovered she has a pup and... well, I was hoping you’d take them in since the pup would be at risk. I know this is a lot to ask, I’ll gladly remove myself from this place except for when I bring supplies and food if need be. It’s more important they have a safe place, than me.”

She takes a moment to ponder. It's hard being a mother out in the streets, especially with the threat of disease and other dogs. "It's alright, Kreig. there are two rooms, and there's enough space in the living room for four," she says to him distractedly as she pushed her pup off of her.

She looks to the Aussie and smiles. "My name is Irina. It's no problem at all. I have an empty room here if you'd like to stay. It's much healthier for your pup, and I can watch him when you leave. I care for many of the street cubs without a mother."

Her collie pup looked curiously at the newcomers, and being shy he tries buries himself between her legs, but was ineffective. "Nanook, stop it," she whispers.

Bandit, just now noticing the other pup, tilts his head, never having seen someone his size before. Meanwhile, Azure bristles at the mention of leaving her pup with someone else. However, she nods slightly and gives the other female a grateful smile. “Thank you. And don’t worry, we’ll be out of your hair most of the time.” She says, looking down at her curious pup.

Azure pads along after the female, Bandit at her heels. Upon reaching the rooms, azure cautiously walks in, deciding on the smallest of the rooms. She then pokes her head out and tilts her head, one ear flopping to the side, "Is this one alright?" she asks rather quietly.

Azure nods as she speaks, absorbing her words, before giving a thankful smile. "Thank you for this. I didn't want to accept and be some sort of burden but with Bandit and my.. well it's been hard." she finishes with a look behind her at the pup in question, who was curled up on a pillow asleep.

Nanook peeked from behind Irina's legs to look at the new stranger. Irina looks softly at Azure. " I know what its like, more than any other dog should." sadness flashed in her eyes for a moment before she covers it up. "If you need anything, we will be out here in the living room. Come Nanook." she bows a goodbye and nudges her cub who happily bounds after her, trying to bite her ankles.
