To Whiter Pastures

Up and back down Ursus leads them, into the thick set of trees known as the Dead Woods, a dark forest of pine needle bearing trees that are immensely tall and huddled together, filtering away most of the sunlight. Upon arriving Ursus stops and inform's Aelin of such and then moves on. Ravens call out in the distance as far removed thunder booms and rolls across the landscape. Upon reaching the northern edge of the woods, a lonesome peak stands, having erupted from the bones of the land at least millennium ago. It stands tall, dark and jagged, with a piece of the peak laying near the foot of it.

Ursus flashes his pale teeth in contest to his coat and nods "Indeed. This is also where Grand Father was imprisoned for many a long year due to a misunderstanding. The mountain finally gave way and he escaped. The reason the Dead Woods and this peak have such a bad reputation is him. Invaders were terrified of him, even when he was imprisoned for they could still hear him and feel his presence. Shall we go up so you can get a birds eye view?"

Ursus stomps his front right paw into the ground and forms and ice wall behind Aelin. "Woah haha! Be careful! Looks like you're figuring out some of your magic by mistake Aelin! That's a nifty trick ya got there. You may end up dreaming of using some magic too, and if you do, give it a try as soon as you wake up."

Ursus nods and chuckles "Yeah no worries about that! Though... Hm. If you're awakening is gunna be chaotic, perhaps I should look after you while you sleep. It's possible to set something on fire for instance in your sleep until you are aware of the power. Typically once you are aware it exists, you have control over it. At least enough to prevent accidents."

"Well... No. I haven't seen that yet. It seems are that ones magic can hurt their-self, but I've seen a bush next to me freeze when I was still gaining my magic."

Ursus chuckles along side her "Right, well if you do some how manage to do so I can help put the fire out and heal the damages, no problem. Anyways, if you take a look to our left here, you can see the Frost Fallen Meadow. The best hunting is there and many of our medicines come from that area. What medicines we can't get we trade with my friends pack to the south of us."

Ursus gives her a studious look over before carefully responding. "You know... We can always go try, right now, if you are tempted. I can't help but be curious about your past but I am new to you so I haven't gained that trust. So I won't pry. I was never the greatest hunter, but.... I have killed far more wolves than I'd care to admit."
