Ursus turns to face Aelin as she stops. "You know, you are welcome to stand next to me. I don't consider my packmates underlings or beneath me. As long as they listen when I speak everything is fine. I prefer a more friendly relationship with those who work with me." Ursus sniffs the air too as Aelin does. "Hmm... I don't smell anything, what is it you smell?"

She nods to the male, shaking her head ruefully, a smirk playing on her lips as she replies. “I hate to break it to you, but “listening” isn’t my strong suit.” She chuckles slightly, twitching her useless ears, before giving the air another whiff. “And as for the scent... female elk, about 3 years old, about a half mile north.” She reports, glancing to the male.

Ursus chuckles both aloud and Telepathically "So that's how it's gunna be huh? You knew my meaning. I try polite orders but I do expect them to be followed, and for normal duties to be fulfilled without me nagging. That way we are ALL happy and safe. I try to only give orders when something is serious. And may I say that's a pretty damn impressive nose you got there? Would you care to lead this, your first hunt in these new lands?"

Ursüs sighs both telepathicly and out loud and smiles faintly “No Aelin, I’d never mind, especially since I offered. I hope that in time you’ll find you don’t have to worry about offending me and maybe even becoming friends.”

She eyes him curiously, not particularly comfortable with anyone, especially males. “Okay..” she says softly before padding ahead toward the scent of elk.

Ursüs gets low and sticks to the shadows, and as he does the shadows twist and meld to his form, leaving only a pair of glowing blue eyes behind. “How would you like to do this?” Ursüs inquires telepathicly.

Aelin gives the smallest of nods before skulking to the other side of the cow. Once she gets halfway there, she disappears once again. She quickly reappeared at her destination. Staying low, she creeps up surprisingly close to the unsuspecting cow. She then leaps to the side on her newly healed leg, causing the cow to bolt in the other direction. Directly toward her newfound companion. Aelin sprints behind the elk, nipping at It’s heals.

Ursüs lies in wait, watching Aelin’s first hunt in the new to her lands with both a new leg and magic’s. He chuckles softly despite himself when Aelin teleports. “Looks like she’s getting the hang of it.” He mumbles to himself before stocking a bit closer, still consumed in shadows. As Aelin drives the cow elk near him, he bursts out of the woods and grabs ahold of a front leg and digs his paws into the ground. “Good! Now finish your first kill here, Aelin.” Is what he tells her via telepathy.

As the brute latched on to the cows leg, Aelin lept from the side onto the cows back, sinking her fangs into the back of the neck, latching onto the vertebrae and yanking with all her might. The cow immediately drops dead, Aelin falling off with a thump.
